Abstract

Data on temperature conductivity coefficient measurement of three grades of rice husk ash and synthetic heat-insulating mixture are presented. Results of steel temperature measurement in the intermediate ladle of 6-strand continuous-casting machine when casting under rice husk ash and synthetic heat-insulating mixture are compared. Rice husk ash showed the best heatinsulating ability.
